  M.A.D. Monday Guidelines         

      

 

You are required to accompany your children to M.A.D. and remain on site for the duration. In the event that you must transport one of your children to an outside event the Director must be notified. You must also make arrangements with another parent to be responsible for your children in your absence. The substitute parent may only be responsible for up to 2 students. Multiple substitute parents may be necessary for families with 3 or more students.  

                                   

Please be on time, check-in begins at 1:20. It is disruptive to the parent/teacher leading a class for students to enter late. 

 

It is essential if you are going to be late or absent, you must make arrangements with another parent to substitute for you in any classes or activities for which you are responsible. In addition, you must notify the M.A.D. Director of your absence and who will be fulfilling your duties. It is not acceptable to post your absence and assume someone will cover for you!  You are responsible for finding your substitute for the day.  

 

All parents must participate as a teacher for one class and assistant in a second class or activity as assigned. Parent participation throughout the scheduled class year (September 2011 – May 2012) is a requirement in order for your child/children to join and remain in any M.A.D. classes.

 

Fees are paid at the beginning of each semester.  To participate your fees must be paid.  If there is a hardship please contact a member of the board. 

 

 Do not bring sick children, this means a child having a temperature above normal (98.6), vomiting, or diarrhea within the prior 24 hours of class. You must arrange a substitute for your class if you will be remaining home with them. We appreciate you following these guidelines so that we help eliminate the potential of passing around an illness.

 

Parents must be responsible for their children. A review of your child’s Guidelines will ensure that you are aware of the expectations. Please note that there is no cell phone use by students between 1:00 - 4:30.

 

Parents; please do not use your cell phone when in the classrooms with students.

 

NO food in classrooms, please keep food in the designated parent lounge. In order to use this awesome facility we must keep it as nice or nicer than when we get there each Monday.

 

Teachers must escort elementary aged groups to their next class.  

Teachers, at the conclusion of MAD at 4:30 pm, please collect name tags. 

Children will be dismissed to the ROC for pickup. 

 

There is a $1.00 replacement cost if your student loses their name tag.   

 

There is a board of directors in place to oversee the many activities and responsibilities involved in organizing and maintaining M.A.D. Monday.  In the event a dispute arises, all parties involved will present their case to the board and abide by any arbitration arrived at by the board. 

 

THANK YOU to everyone who will be participating in M.A.D. Monday. Our children will benefit greatly from everyone’s willingness to share their time, talents, and abilities. Remember, we are doing this for the benefit of our children, and to make their home school experience and yours as positive and beneficial as possible.
